About the urinary system

Urine has a double role, namely the elimination of some residual substances and the maintenance of the constant internal environment.

Urine is normally sterile and consists of water, in which there are dissolved organic substances such as urea, creatinine, uric acid, hormones, enzymes, but also minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphates, oxalates.

When urine becomes supersaturated in some substances such as calcium, oxalate, uric acid, phosphates, they precipitate and form urinary sand, which can prevent normal urinary flow.
